8th Annual Father's Day Fun Ride

On Sunday (June 15, 2008);   Diamondback will be holding a race for non-racing father's only. It will take place at intermission time and the rules will be:

#1. This race is open to all non-racing "fathers" whose children are entered to race at Diamondback on JUNE 15. It is NOT open to "fathers" who are themselves racers in our district or any other motocross district (like MSC, District 3, District 6, Nema, Nesc, District 34, etc).

#2. The event will be a one "moto" format consisting of 3 laps (with 1 lap of practice just prior to the race just to make sure everyone knows the track so they can be extra safe and careful out there).

NEW RULE (SINCE JUNE OF 2006):    No jumping will be allowed.  This means every obstacle (tables, doubles, and especially the finish line rockers !!).  If anyone is observed jumping they will be disqualified from this Father's Day event.  This includes "accidental jumps" which we will consider an even worse violation,   for if you accidentally jump a double or table, well, you clearly are not in full control of your bike and are just plain riding too fast for this event.   Yes, we understand that "air" may be present under both your wheels on straights at times, and that will not be a violation.  We don't feel the need to really make this complicated but you can trust that we will use common sense when applying this new rule.      So please be extra safe this Sunday and we'll see you all there for a lot of fun.

#3. It will take place at "intermission time" between 1st and 2nd half.

#4. There is no charge (and no special documents are required).   However, you must be able to prove that your child is racing on this day in one of the youth classes at Diamondback and you must be willing to sign a waiver when you signup.

#5. Bike size rules:  any bike size that the father can safely handle is permitted.  It must be able to pass a motocross tech inspection (at least in spirit).  No kickstands or any obvious unsafe mechanical parts on it (like no brakes).  Quads are permitted.

#6. Helmets, boots (work boots ok), gloves and eye protection is required.

#7. Trophies for the top ten places !!

#8. Quads are permitted (effective June 10, 2008)

#9.  Any questions just send an email to:  diamondbackmotocross@yahoo.com

Come celebrate Father's Day with us!!
