Medical Insurance is NOT provided.
The only documentation required (aside from the
minor release procedure) is membership in
our sanctioning body, the
Metropolitan Sports Committee. Alternatively, if you
present and "out of district card" it must be current so that we know
what class to put you in. However, please note, that effective
February 21, 2008 the MSC will charge a $10 fee for this courtesy and it
is payable the day of each MSC event attended.
Please note that AMA membership
is NOT required at Diamondback.
NOTE:
The "MSC" card is
good for one racing season. Once you purchase the MSC card you will be
assigned a "racing number". But for the first day they will just let you
put a big "X" on your bike (or something similar to identify you).
Never been to a race before? Here's how it goes:
After "signing up" you will get to run a practice session soon after 9 A.M.
After this is completed the races will begin. There will be a 1st half and
a 2nd half set of races. You will race once in each half (for every class that you
signed up to race). Both races are then averaged together to declare the class
winner for the day.
