Status of the Diamondback Message Board:
We have been asked by one of our riders to post an unambigious statement as
to the current status of our message board so that the rumors will be put to rest once and
for all. Frankly, we have noticed that the taking down of this popular board has
spawned a few "conspiracy theories" on other message boards (you know, the grassy
knoll kind of of stuff) and it gave us reason to chuckle to ourselves a few
times. But here is the real deal: We have been considering taking down the
board for some time now feeling that it is not an appropriate venue for a privately owned
business like Diamondback to be hosting. In the middle of this self doubt the
message board heated up with feedback from that difficult 1st open practice of the year.
At that time we could have stepped in and monitored the situation but
honestly we just grew impatient and decided to pull the plug on it until at least we were
moved over to a new web server with a more sophisticated message board format.
However, to our surprise we began receiving more thoughtful and constructive feedback, via
our email account, than we ever received on our message board over the years. Because
of this we have decided to keep the message board down for the 2004 season and just focus
all of our attention on answering our incoming emails in a prompt and professional
manner. And that's all there is to it.
