"Pit Row" for the Quads
at the beginning of the day.
Four bikes in mid air on the
spectator table.
Pablo #24 "twisting it up" under the spring branches.
Finkle/Koretsky battle in the first 125 expert moto (they were on 250's!).
A family watching the
big air coming off the spectator table.
Diamondback bought a
new track groomer for the 2001 season. Expect a lot of changes at Diamond
starting at the Father's day race!
Photographer steadying
his camera for a perfect quad holeshot pic.
The secret is out. This is "tommy426".
The terror of the ACE, Walden, Diamond and NEMX message boards. Think you can
figure this guy out? Here he is with his girlfriend "Andrea" on the quad gate. A few motos
later, here is Tom jumping the spectator
table on his bike !! Yup, only guy I ever saw come to a track pulling both types
of machines (and hell bent on pushing each one to its limits). Hey, Tom, how's "the bird" ?
It was a big Diamond day for sure. Big crowds and lots of entrants (this
is 125 expert class).
As I was walking in the pits I met "Grandpa" Behrens. His 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren were racing at
Diamond this day. And then he rolled
his flat tracker out of the trailer to show me his style of bike. The Behrens
family is going to get me some scrambles pictures of them riding ACE on the oiled flat
track in the early sixties. Will post them up on the web for everybody.
Just a lone rider enjoying this scorcher of a spring day..... against a bright blue sky.
Barbara, "ambassador" to the women's class, enjoying a sweeping downhill.
And here is a special moment. The infamous "Huss Daddy", a recent
arrival on the motocross scene has a big day at Diamond and begins to "double" after
almost a year of pushing hard for it (yes, he cleared it).
John Coen's family
came out to enjoy the racing action. (Can't you just imagine how fast "little
Jack Coen" will be on 2 wheels some day!)
Fight for the lead
was tight in 2nd moto quad amateur.
Oh, it was a hot spring
day alright, even I took a dip before my moto

Picture of the day: Didn't expect it to be
"picture of the day", when I snapped this peewee rider's photo, but as I
got ready the boy's dad rushed up onto the ramp to cheer his son on. Made for a great pic (flag and all).
Little guy; big
jump!
Nancy
Davidson came out to ride the first running of the Diamond women's class

"Dreamer" made the 4 hour trek with his family from District 4. Lives next to "Frozen Ocean" and made the drive down
to attend the Walden New Rider Class.
And then rode his first moto ever at Diamond the next day. Thanks for coming
down and send us pics from D4.
About sending me pictures:
Measure them in pixels; max width 700 pixels, max height 400 pixels. If not,
it takes a "billboard" to display it as they are usually oversized and
consume tremenedous resources. "Crop and Resize before you
