Terry Finkle, carries the #87 to a 1st half 250 expert win:
The number "87" could be spotted on the right side of many bikes
this Sunday as tribute to our fallen brother, the late Rocky Cassone Jr.
And for the benefit of those who may visiting District 34 for the first
time today; Rocky passed away of natural causes in his first moto at Ace Motocross
last weekend. Rocky was a vet expert motocrosser and an active racer in our district
for over 29 years. Godspeed Rocky. You are dearly missed by one and all.

2nd half, 60cc (10-11 year old) holeshot: Hats
off to these guys (and girls) on 60's because even though the track is dry now there are
some pretty deep and crooked ruts right outside the gate. Intimidated the best of us
on big wheels, can't imagine what it would be like on a 60. Here's the outcome of this
holeshot.

Four Diamondback heros saved newborn Bambi
(complete with camouflage spots) when it flushed out of the woods and began wandering on
the track. At first everyone thought it was injured but then we realized it was so
young that it was still a bit wobbly on its long legs. So back to
the woods it went and all was well again with Mr. Deer. |
