Track Layout

As you line up to the gate your race will be as follows =====>

The "gate" is a dirt starting pad with a traditional starter/flagman)

As the gate drops you race down a long straightway into an uphill left hander then down into a banked right hander.  You then gain speed over a shallow table that sets you up for a small double.  After the small double you proceed down a short straight to the hump before the triple.   On the downside of the hump you row gears BIG TIME and pull full power for the big triple.  After the triple (which is easily doubled by the way) you make a high speed sweeping right turn (very fun stuff) into a downhill table.    After the table you take a hard left and proceed on a fast uphill straight to a small stepup jump.  After the stepup you proceed on a long, fast downhill that sweeps right into a heavily banked, right hander (that is a popular spectator point too) and then into an uphill roller section.  The track now turns left and downhill into the  "bowl"  just before gravity cavity.  Then over a rise and drop into gravity cavity, bear right in the cavity and double out. Then bear right to a short straight into the spectator table. A long, fast straight begins immediately after the spectator table and its a major spectator point.  At the end of that its a right hander and into the rockers (note: finish line is at the of the rockers).    After the rockers you are led straight into an alligator jump and then a hard left into a camelback.  Now a long straight to a left hander that leads to the start table (that you did not have enough of a run to jump on the first lap; but now you do and with a big rush of second gear you clear it).  And now you begin your second lap.

Diamond always runs 100% of its available track for every event.  This applies to open practice as well as our regular race days.  So you can be sure, that on every one of your visits to Diamond, that you will be riding all the jumps and turns that we advertise in our track layout section.     Diamond is a large track, but no effort is ever spared preparing all of it for your visit.
